Apple sales grow 5% to $85.8 bn in April-June

Apple has posted quarterly revenue of $85.8 billion (up 5 percent) for its fiscal 2024 third quarter ended June 29, 2024.

Apple has generated sales revenue of $39,296 million from iPhones, $7,009 million from Mac, $7,162 million from iPad, $8,097 million from Wearables, Home and Accessories and $24,213 million from Services during April-June.

Apple has generates sales of $37,678 million from Americas, $21,884 million from Europe, $14,728 million from Greater China, $5,097 million from Japan and $6,390 million from Rest of Asia Pacific that includes India and China.

The recent Canalys report said Apple held second place with 16 percent share in the global smartphone market by shipping 45.6 million units in the second quarter of 2024. Apple achieved strong momentum in North America and emerging markets in Asia Pacific.

Apple will accelerate replacement demand in mature markets via its AI strategy, with hybrid models, enhanced privacy and personalized Siri features, Canalys Senior Analyst Sanyam Chaurasia, said.

In PC market, Apple has secured the fourth position in Q2 2024, shipping 5.5 million units and capturing 9 percent market share, marking a 6 percent increase. “Apple announced the Apple Intelligence features for Mac, iPad and iPhone as part of its AI strategy,” Ishan Dutt, Principal Analyst at Canalys, said.
