Adit invests Rs 25 crore for lithium polymer battery manufacturing unit

Adit Infratel has made an investment of Rs 25 crore to set up lithium polymer embedded battery manufacturing facility at Manesar, Haryana.

The company aims to tap both Indian and international smartphone battery markets.

India’s first and only lithium polymer embedded battery manufacturing facility, spread over 10,000 square feet, has an installed capacity of 60,000 mobile batteries and 20,000 mobile chargers per day.

With the addition of the Manesar facility, the total manufacturing capacity of Adit Infratel including the unit at Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh, will be 95,000 mobile batteries, 25,000 mobile chargers and 4,000 power banks per day.

The technology company aims to generate Rs 335 crore in revenues from the facility over the next four years, said Adit Infratel.

Vikram Kalia, director Sales & Marketing, Adit Infratel, said: “The lithium polymer battery facility in the country will allow us to augment our local manufacturing capacity to cater to the demand for smartphones.”
