This includes Messenger for two-way SMS communication, connect for managing SMS, email, webchat, and social media in a single interface, OutageIQ for real-time network alerts, Pulse for collecting feedback through surveys, and a payments tool enabling bill payment via SMS. The platform integrates with HTC’s billing systems and Calix Cloud, allowing digital service upgrades without replacing existing infrastructure. HTC aims to streamline customer communication, reduce call center volume, automate billing, and enhance service efficiency. GOCare’s tools are designed to work within existing telecom environments, enabling companies like HTC to adopt digital engagement strategies. HTC provides voice, video, and internet services in Tennessee and Kentucky.
Comcast Expands 100 Gbps Internet Network to Boost Business Connectivity in Naperville’s Block 59
Comcast has extended its high-speed internet network to Block 59 in Naperville, Illinois. The company now offers internet speeds up to 100 Gbps, voice services, mobile solutions, and cloud services to businesses in the area. This expansion is part of Comcast’s investment strategy, with $1.4 billion invested in Illinois over the past three years and more than $80 billion nationwide in the last decade. Comcast’s infrastructure includes over 65,000 miles of network in Illinois and more than 1.8 million WiFi hotspots across the state.
MetTel Wins $54 mn Contract to Digitally Modernize Veterans Administration Landlines
MetTel received a $54 million contract from the U.S. Veterans Administration to modernize 15,000 landlines at 1,875 locations. The project replaces traditional copper-based Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) with a digital multi-path IP system. This upgrade will improve reliability and provide performance monitoring and advanced features without changing existing equipment. MetTel will use its DataRemote “POTS in a Box” platform, which offers continuous monitoring, multi-path failover, and detailed reporting. The contract supports the transition from analog to digital communication systems within the Veterans Administration.
