Gigapower Accelerates Fiber Broadband Across Six States, Boosting ISP Access
Gigapower, a joint venture between AT&T and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), has expanded its fiber broadband network across six U.S. states: Florida (Greater Orlando, Panhandle), New Mexico (Albuquerque), Pennsylvania (Northeastern Area), North Carolina (Greater Charlotte), South Carolina (Greater Charlotte), and Minnesota (Southern Minneapolis). The company has connected municipalities to high-speed broadband to meet demand. Gigapower uses an open access network model, enabling multiple internet service providers (ISPs) to deploy services over shared infrastructure, which accelerates network deployment, reduces time-to-market for ISPs, and provides flexible internet options for end users.
