Fiber Surge in Michigan: Ezee Fiber Powers into Metro Detroit with Multi-Gig Speeds

Ezee Fiber has announced the expansion of its 100 percent fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) network into the Metro Detroit area, covering Wayne, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, Genesee, St. Clair, Monroe and Livingston counties. Construction is set to begin next week, with residential and business installations expected in the second quarter of 2026. The company will deliver multi-gig symmetrical internet speeds, offering up to 8 Gbps for residential customers and up to 100 Gbps for enterprise clients. Services will feature no data caps or long-term contracts, along with locally based customer support, strengthening high-speed broadband access across Southeast Michigan.

Intracom Telecom has introduced its UltraLink -GX80 Advanced E-Band wireless transport solution to the U.S. market, delivering up to 15 Gbps full-duplex throughput over a single 2 000 MHz channel to address growing demand for high-capacity connectivity. Operating in FCC-regulated 71–76 GHz and 81–86 GHz spectrum bands, the solution offers high spectral efficiency, enhanced system gains and improved link stability. The platform is designed to support 5G backhaul and fronthaul deployments, enterprise connectivity, and fiber extension scenarios, enabling operators to expand network capacity in dense urban and high-traffic environments.

Ericsson and Mastercard have announced a strategic partnership to enhance global digital money movement and expand financial inclusion. The collaboration integrates Ericsson’s Mobile Financial Services platform with Mastercard Move, enabling telecom operators, banks and fintechs to launch advanced digital wallet and cross-border payment solutions more efficiently. By leveraging pre-integrated APIs and cloud-based infrastructure, the partnership reduces complexity and speeds up service deployment. The initiative aims to broaden access to secure digital payment services, particularly in regions with large unbanked and underbanked populations, strengthening digital financial ecosystems worldwide.
