AV Powers Next-Gen Satellite Networks with $240M Laser Communication Deal
AV has received a $240 million contract to provide a long-haul laser communication system for space. The system is designed to enable high-speed data transmission between satellites and ground stations. It will support both government and commercial satellite networks. The laser communication system uses optical signals instead of traditional radio frequencies, allowing higher bandwidth, lower latency, and more secure data links. AV will manufacture, test, and deliver the system under the contract, with integration into operational networks planned for the next few years.
