BSNL Expands Rural Connectivity with 43 New Mobile Towers in Andhra Pradesh

Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) is set to improve mobile network coverage in Andhra Pradesh by commissioning 43 new mobile towers across Nandyal and Kurnool districts. The initiative aims to strengthen telecom connectivity in rural and semi-urban regions where network quality has been inconsistent. Officials noted that the new towers are part of BSNL’s broader effort to upgrade infrastructure and enhance service reliability under ongoing network expansion plans. The rollout is expected to reduce call drops, improve data speeds, and support digital access for residents, businesses, and government services. Authorities emphasized that this development aligns with the push for better last-mile connectivity and improved public telecom services in underserved areas.

Space Internet Milestone: AST SpaceMobile Locks June 17 Launch for BlueBird Trio

AST SpaceMobile has confirmed that its BlueBird 8, 9, and 10 satellites are scheduled for launch on June 17, 2026, from Cape Canaveral, Florida, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, with liftoff targeted at 2:39 a.m. EDT and a backup window extending to 4:15 a.m. The mission is part of the company’s broader effort to build a space-based cellular broadband network capable of connecting standard smartphones directly from orbit. The satellites are expected to strengthen early-stage constellation deployment as AST accelerates toward commercial service rollout. The company continues scaling production and launch cadence to support a target of roughly 45 satellites in orbit by 2026. The announcement also reinforces AST’s multi-launch strategy with partners including SpaceX and Blue Origin, aimed at expanding global direct-to-device connectivity.
