Amdocs signs BSS deal with Telefonica Argentina

Telecom service provider Telefonica Argentina has selected Amdocs to manage its business support systems (BSS) applications.

Amdocs did not reveal the size of the BSS deal.

As per the multi-year application management agreement, Amdocs will supply BSS areas including Amdocs billing and ordering solutions as well as interfaces to non-Amdocs legacy systems.

Earlier, Amdocs inked deal to handle Telefonica Argentina’s wireline and wireless transformation projects to provide better customer experience across all customer interaction channels.

As per the new BSS agreement announced today, Amdocs will take care managing, maintaining, configuring, testing and training across multiple Telefonica Argentina BSS systems, including interfaces to applications from third-party vendors.

“The BSS deal will enable us to further simplify processes and systems so that we can deliver on our transformation goal of providing a consistent, advanced and simple customer experience across all channels – whether self-service or agent assisted, via the Web, call center or retail store,” said Horacio Goldenberg, chief information officer at Telefonica Argentina.
