Airtel Payments Bank announced the appointment of ICICI Bank veteran Anubrata Biswas as its managing director and CEO — responsible for expanding digital banking services.
Prior to joining Airtel Payments Bank, Anubrata Biswas was the joint general manager and retail business head – South India for ICICI Bank and was responsible for managing the retail banking business across over 550 branches of the bank.
During his 17 year stint with ICICI, Anubrata Biswas has held several senior level positions, both in India and overseas. He has been retail banking head of ICICI Bank UK and NRI and remittances head of ICICI Bank.
Anubrata Biswas has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University and did his PGDBM from IIM, Ahmedabad.
