Zayo expands to San Diego with new network

Zayo will be expanding its fiber network into San Diego.

Upon completion, Zayo’s network will exceed 400 route
miles throughout the San Diego metropolitan area. This network expansion will
provide customers with dedicated infrastructure to improve network reliability
and performance.

As the use of high bandwidth applications increases,
Zayo’s network growth in the San Diego region will offer leasable dark fiber
assets that were not available previously in this geographic area. The
expansion in San Diego adds more capacity at a lower price point with the
opportunity to upgrade when necessary.

“Investing in the San Diego network serves our
customers’ bandwidth needs and allows Zayo to expand our presence in Southern
California,” states Matt Erickson, president of Zayo Fiber Solutions.

In addition to the San Diego dark fiber network
investment, Zayo has recently expanded its existing fiber network in downtown
Los Angeles. These markets will also be interconnected to Zayo’s national fiber
network following the anticipated completion of the previously announced
acquisition of 360networks.
