Xirrus expands partner program to drive wireless access across enterprise

Xirrus announced the expansion of its channel partner
program that will equip value added resellers (VARs) and systems integrators
with wireless networking technology that provides documented higher bandwidth,
coverage and scalability than competing wireless offerings.

Xirrus will continue to focus its efforts on businesses
that increasingly depend on wireless access to transform their business.
Through their product invention and design, commitment to customer success, and
the industry’s best price performance, customers will have the confidence that
their wireless networks perform even under the most demanding circumstances.

The Xirrus Partner Program will be governed by a
three-pronged philosophy. Xirrus will enable high partner profitability by
offering comparatively favorable deal structures, will not compete with
partners, and will commit to well-trained partner sales and technical teams.

Xirrus has established
channel partners on almost every continent and is rapidly expanding its partner
base.

Our industry has reached a point where user density is
no longer an excuse for glitches common in most public Wi-Fi solutions,” said
Brian Shemilt, vice president of channel marketing at Xirrus.

We support the greatest density, deliver the highest
bandwidth, and offer the greatest price-for-performance on the market. More
importantly, its technology’s unmatched reliability allows our clients to focus
on their businesses rather than wasting precious time battling poor network
performance,” added Shemilt,

We have seen early positive results from our partner
engagements, hinting at the tremendous impact our partner program can make on
the bottom line both ours and our partners’,” said Kevin Hollenbach, vice president
of sales for North America at Xirrus.

We will not follow a ‘co-opetition’ model that supports
partners while competing with them. Our win-win strategy means that we’re
dedicated to investing more resources in our partners than the vast majority of
vendors provide today,” Hollenbach added.

Xirrus partners will be classified into two levels of
membership, Platinum and Gold, depending on sales volume and the number of
Xirrus-trained technical consultants. The company will require its partners to
maintain high standards through: Strong sales and engineering teams, A joint
business plan co-developed with Xirrus, Demonstrated willingness to actively
promote Xirrus products and targeted marketing initiatives tailored to Xirrus
products.

Xirrus recently announced
that its XN8 Wi-Fi Array has been granted certification by the U.S. Department
of Defense (DoD) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) for
interoperability with Defense Department networks and has been validated within
the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 for cryptographic
modules.
