Wavelink and Casio form partnership for mobile device management

Telecom Lead India: Wavelink, a provider of enterprise
mobility management solutions, announced partnership with Casio to pre-load
Wavelink’s Avalanche, Terminal Emulation (TE), and Industrial Browser
products on Casio’s DT-X8 model hand-held warehouse device.

The partnership benefits new Casio DT-X8 customers as it
enables them to quickly deploy the pre-loaded Wavelink Avalanche, Wavelink
Terminal Emulation (TE), and Wavelink Industrial Browser across their
enterprise.

This partnership further supports Casio’s growth within
the mobility sector,” said Guy Boxall, senior product marketing manager at
Casio. Having Wavelink’s mobility software preloaded on the ultra-rugged DT-X8
provides faster and very efficient product integration for our customers.”

Casio DT-X8 comes pre-loaded with Wavelink
Avalanche software that enables remote hands-free setup and management of
hand-held devices.

Wavelink Terminal Emulation (TE) is a complete
environment, available to every device running Wavelink TE at no additional cost.
The environment includes Session Persistence, Screen Reformatter, and high
level of customization with settings and configuration options, and automation
of data entry using scripting tools.

Wavelink Industrial Browser allows customers to
access traditional host-based apps and web-based apps with one software
deliverable. The browser offers features to integrate scanning, security,
speech and security for workers using web-based apps.

Managing a mobile device environment across an
enterprise is an extremely challenging job,” said John Martin, director of
Sales EMEA at Wavelink. This partnership simplifies the deployment and
management of that environment with Avalanche, while also giving Casio DT-X8
customers the most widely used TE platform on the market.”

Earlier this year Wavelink announced enhancements to Wavelink Avalanche Telicost
offering new features that provide better reporting and usage controls to help
administrators monitor, analyze and manage data, voice, SMS and roaming usage.
