Wataniya Telecom Improves Customers’ First Use Experience with Comptel Dynamic SIM Management

By Telecom Lead Team: OSS provider Comptel announced that
mobile operator Wataniya Telecom Kuwait has deployed Comptel Dynamic SIM
Management to enable users for self activating their subscriptions using
handsets.

With Wataniya’s premium first use experience, SuperSIM,
each user is now able to dynamically choose their numbers and the packages they
want in real time.

Comptel Dynamic SIM Management enables Wataniya to
monetize vanity numbers and to manage them, in real time. It allows mobile
users to select their numbers and services with an interactive dialogue the
first time they use their SIM cards. The solution supports full lifecycle
management of SIM cards, from the moment the cards are manufactured to the
point when they are discarded or recycled.

Wataniya selected Comptel as it wanted to lower its
customer acquisition costs and increase its revenue potential. The operator was
also looking for a solution that would allow for faster time to market for
campaigns, as well as for a better customer experience by offering its
subscribers greater choices.

Wataniya Telecom is a truly customer-driven company – we
continuously aim to provide our subscribers with excellent products and
services and greater value,” said Abdolaziz Al-Balool, PR director, Wataniya
Telecom.

Comptel’s solution helps the mobile operator offer a
first use experience: its customers are able to self-activate their
subscriptions and choose the packages they want, no matter which handset type
they’re using. When using their SIM cards for the first time, they can also
search for the numbers they want and purchase the value-added services of their
choice.

Working in close cooperation with Wataniya Telecom, we
have developed a solution that addresses the mobile operator’s need to more
efficiently manage the first use and activation of SIM cards,” said Veqar
Islam, senior vice president, Middle East and Africa, Comptel.
