Vodafone enterprise biz contributes 10% revenue to H1 service income

Telecom service provider Vodafone said its enterprise service contributes to around 10 percent of Vodafone India service revenues.

For comparison, Bharti Airtel’s enterprise business contributed 7 percent revenue to its total revenue in the second quarter of FY 2014 against 6 percent in FY 2013.

Vodafone’s enterprise business is currently serving over 4.5 million customers. It’s one of the main achievements in the rapidly growing enterprise business was Vodafone’s association with Mahindra Reva, the first connected car in India on Vodafone network.

Vodafone service revenue rose 13.5 percent to Rs 184,809 million in H1 FY14. Voice minutes and data revenues were the growth drivers.

The telecom service provider posted strong growth in voice minutes along with strengthened ARPM at 46.7 paise in H1 FY14 against 44.0 paise in H1 FY13. Vodafone India ARPU reached Rs 200.

Data users reached 42.5 million — 27.3 percent of total subscriber base — with 4.5 million 3G customers. 3G usage rose 51 percent to 634 MB/sub in Q2 FY14 against 419 MB/sub in Q2 FY13.

Data (Browsing) revenue rose 76.5 percent to Rs 15,419 million. Vodafone said browsing revenues now account for 9 percent of service revenues in Q2 FY14.
