TIM: Vivendi CEO Arnaud de Puyfontaine and other directors resigned

TIM Italy and technologyTelecom Italia (TIM) board of directors have resigned ahead of the company’s annual general meeting on 24 April, the company said in a statement.

Activist investment fund Elliott, which has a minority stake in Telecom Italia, has called for the removal of Vivendi CEO Arnaud de Puyfontaine as the executive chairman of Telecom Italia. Media company Vivendi is the largest shareholder in TIM.

TIM directors Camilla Antonini, Frederic Crepin, Felicite Herzog, Marella Moretti, Herve Philippe  and Anna Jones have also resigned.
