F-Secure, a provider of security solutions,
and TDS Telecommunications announced they have signed a partnership agreement.
Under this agreement TDS will deliver F-Secure’s Online Backup service to TDS’
broadband customers in regions across the U.S.
F-Secure’s Online Backup provides
subscribers with a secure way to save, share and access their irreplaceable
media from any device, and rounds out TDS’ value-added service package which
already includes F-Secure’s Internet security solution.
“With the addition of Online Backup,
F-Secure is playing a key role in this quest. Combined with TDS Internet
Security, F-Secure’s award-winning Internet security solution, Online Backup
allows us to offer TDS subscribers a service package that keeps them – and
their data – safe and secure,” said Matt Apps, Consumer Internet Product
Manager, TDS.
Online Backup’s unlimited storage capacity allow
users to have one convenient home for all of their most important files, and it
enables easy sharing of this content with friends and family via social media
sites.
F-Secure’s Online Backup service replaces
TDS’ current online backup solution, Carbonite. Online Backup facilitates the
storing of this content in the ‘cloud.’ This allows TDS subscribers to
conveniently access their digital media from any device with an Internet
connection.
“We’re confident that Online Backup,
in addition to our security offering, will not only provide TDS subscribers
with an effective way of protecting their valuable content, but will also offer
TDS a superior method of driving revenue and reducing churn,” said Curtis
Cresta, vice president of F-Secure North American operations.
F-Secure recently announced the
latest version of F-Secure mobile security for mobile devices. The solution
provides improved security and parental control capabilities on Android devices
to meet these challenges.
