Sri Lanka Telecom taps NetCracker for next-generation billing

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) has selected NetCracker Technology to upgrade its existing NetCracker billing and mediation platform to NetCracker’s next-generation billing, rating and active mediation solutions.

Lalith de Silva, group chief executive officer at Sri Lanka Telecom, said: “NetCracker’s solution suite makes it the logical choice to transform our billing, rating and mediation capabilities across our consumer, enterprise and global wholesale lines of business. This will lead to a superior delivery of our services resulting in an enhanced customer experience.”

NetCracker will upgrade Sri Lanka Telecom to the next-generation rating, charging, billing and mediation components of its Digital Business Platform. Sri Lanka Telecom’s existing solutions are pre-acquisition versions of NetCracker’s billing and mediation solutions.

As per the deal, NetCracker will consolidate Sri Lanka Telecom’s two existing NetCracker mediation systems onto its Active Mediation platform, enabling Sri Lanka Telecom to introduce a range of new pricing, rating and billing configurations that address emerging digital business models; the growing demand for transactional digital services; and the need for personalized customer experience.

This new solution will be integrated with a number of Sri Lanka Telecom’s existing BSS systems to create seamless, end-to-end revenue management processes and strengthen Sri Lanka Telecom’s go-to-market capabilities for new services and bundles as well custom enterprise and wholesale agreements.
