SingTel taps Amdocs for billing project

Asian telecom service provider SingTel has selected Amdocs for a billing project in Singapore and Australia to enhance and differentiate its customer experience.

Amdocs will migrate the billing and customer support for retail, enterprise and government users of SingTel onto a single platform. SingTel, which has a stake in Bharti Airtel in India, aims to improve the customer satisfaction and efficiency in customer engagement and productivity for the Group, said Amdocs.

“We are retooling our IT systems and processes to deliver a seamless and intuitive customer experience.  The solution will enable us to have a single view of the customer relationship and make service recommendations to our customers,” said Wu Choy Peng, group chief information officer, SingTel.

Amdocs in a statement said that it will deliver a single integrated solution based on its customer experience systems product suite (CES 9.2) that will consolidate support across all businesses (wireless, wireline, broadband internet and television) and networks (2G, 3G and LTE). The duration of the contract will be three years.

SingTel Group has presence in Asia, Australia and Africa with over 500 million mobile customers in 25 countries, including Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand.
