Robi Axiata taps NetCracker integrating billing solution

Bangladesh telecom operator Robi Axiata has selected NetCracker’s Revenue Management solution, integrating billing, interconnect billing and credit control.

The new billing solution is expected to assist the telecom service provider to enable new service innovation and better responsiveness to changing customer demands.

Robi Axiata supports more than 22 million subscribers. Recently, the company won 3G license in Bangladesh.

As part of the billing deal, NetCracker will replace a legacy billing system at Robi in order to increase flexibility and reduce Opex.

As a result of this billing transformation, Robi aims to introduce innovative price plans, accelerate new service rollouts, and enhance customer management. The integrated NetCracker solution will bill for all postpaid subscribers, roaming users, and interconnect agreements while also actively monitoring usage, credit, rating, and new price plans.

“NetCracker is a clear choice for us as we improve postpaid billing and customer care functionality to meet our rapidly expanding footprint of customers,” said Niloy Rahman, vice president, Development, at Robi.

Robi Axiata is making a proactive investment in its billing infrastructure because its growing, high value customer segments are keys to increased revenue generation and profitability. Robi’s customers demand more enhanced, value-added services requiring more flexible and agile billing and credit control capabilities.
