Robi Axiata selects Comptel Fulfillment for provisioning and activation

Comptel, a Operations Support System (OSS)
software provider, announced that its Provisioning & Activation has been
selected by the Bangladeshi mobile operator Robi Axiata.

The operator has also selected Comptel
Catalog of the company.

Robi Axiata will replace its existing
postpaid, prepaid and VAS provisioning systems with Comptel’s solutions.

The solution will help the operator to
improve time-to-market and ensure low service-deployment error rates.

“Comptel Provisioning and Activation will
help us control costs, reduce manual errors and deliver services to customers
without delay, thus increasing satisfaction and reducing churn,” said A.K.M.
Morshed, chief technology officer, Robi Axiata.

Comptel Provisioning & Activation and
Comptel Catalog are components of Comptel Fulfillment, a fully integrated suite
of products that also encompasses order management and service and resource
inventory capabilities.

“Provisioning is one of our core
competencies, with a solid track record of deliveries to over 130 operators
across the world. We feel that this is once again a proof-point of our
leadership in that space,” said Mika Korpinen, senior vice president,
Asia-Pacific, Comptel.

Robi Axiata Limited is a joint venture
company between Axiata Group, Malaysia and NTT DoCoMo, Japan. It is the third
largest mobile operator in Bangladesh, serving more than 15 million subscribers
and is a new customer for Comptel.

Earlier this year, Comptel Corporation, announced that its Provisioning and Activation has been
selected by Telenor Hungary, a subsidiary of the international Telenor Group,
to shorten time-to-market.
