PVG Menon is the new president of India Semiconductor Association


India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the premier trade
body representing the Indian Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM)
industry, announced the appointment of PVG Menon as the new president of the
association.

 

He brings with him a combination of domain knowledge,
focus towards membership promotion and a flair for industry relevant research.

 

In this role, Menon would be responsible for overseeing
the operations of ISA and will work as a member of its Executive Council on
strategic issues related to the growth of the semiconductor and the electronics
industry in India.

 

“ISA strongly supports the goal to make
electronics a national mission in our country and our search for the new President
was focused on ensuring we have the right leadership to achieve that target and
all our other goals in the ESDM sector.  We welcome Menon on board and
wish him the best as he assumes this important mantle,” said Pradip K.
Dutta, chairman, ISA and Corporate VP & MD, Synopsys (India).

 

In the past, as an industry representative, Menon has volunteered with several ISA initiatives such as,
ISA-F&S Market Study, Technovation, and ISA-E&Y Country Competitiveness
Study etc.

 

“ISA plays a pivotal role for the growth of the
industry and it’s a great honor to join the leadership team and have the
opportunity to contribute to its success. I would like to work towards
strengthening ISA’s role and contributions in various key segments and core
initiatives and leverage and strengthen the strong linkages that ISA has
established,” Menon added.

 

Prior to taking up this role, PVG Menon was the president
& CEO VANN Consulting and has over 24 years of experience in the
development, marketing and management of technology. Prior to this, Menon has
worked with Philips (now known as NXP Semiconductors) and Analog Devices,
Siemens Information Systems Ltd. and CMC Ltd. He has also been associated with
two start-ups.
