Poynt crosses 10 million users worldwide

Poynt, a global provider of mobile
local search and advertising, announced that since the launch of the Poynt App in
June 2008, Poynt has been downloaded and used on over 10 million iPhone, Android,
Windows Phone, and Nokia devices, as well as BlackBerry smartphone and PlayBook
tablets.

Poynt’s 10 millionth unique user marks
a milestone for the Company, representing 162 percent growth in unique users
over the past year. Poynt reached the 1 million unique user milestone in
September 2009 and has experienced 900 percent growth in the past two years,
including the addition of 1.5 million new users since July 2011.

Our position in the mobile application
space has become increasingly stronger,” said Andrew Osis, president & CEO,
Poynt.

Ten million users and growing is key
to Poynt’s expanding the number of advertisers and strengthening the App’s
mobile commerce offerings like ‘daily deals’ and mobile couponing. As Poynt
becomes available across more geographies and devices, we anticipate a
significant acceleration in user numbers and associated revenues,” Osis added.

The Company has continued to update the
App with new features that have been customer driven, such as the addition of
gas and local events. These features are enhanced by the Company’s patented
location-based technology and deep device integration.

Poynt is available as a free download
for users in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France,
Italy, Spain and Australia on iPhone, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia devices,
along with BlackBerry smartphones and BlackBerry Playbook tablets, from the
respective App Stores.
