Network Embedded Technologies (NWET), a
WISP based in South Africa, announced that it is deploying RADWIN’s equipment
as part of a turnkey Security and Surveillance solution.
RADWIN‘s links are used to transmit video from remote
sites, enabling customers to monitor remote buildings, equipment and livestock
– sometimes as far as 300 Km away.
MIRO, RADWIN’s certified partner in South
Africa, was the project supplier. Network Embedded Technologies was responsible
for project design and implementation.
Theft and vandalism is rampant in parts of
South Africa. With RADWIN 2000 organizations can monitor their remote premises
24×7 and effectively respond to threats to their critical infrastructure and
assets. Farmer owners use RADWIN 2000 to protect their livestock, and game
farmers use live video to monitor poaching and to protect endangered
species.
“RADWIN’s systems transmit video with
excellent image quality, and their rugged reliability and advanced technologies
enable them to operate flawlessly in non line-of-sight and severe weather. This
makes them the best video transmission solution available in the market
today,” said Andrid Geldenhuys, president of Network Embedded
Technologies.
“We are seeing a huge demand for our
wireless surveillance solutions as they enable secure, robust and continuous
transmission, and give the users true peace of mind. Today RADWIN offers a
complete end-to-end wireless transmission network for security and surveillance
applications, delivering high throughput, quality video transmission and
advanced network management capabilities,” said Rami Bar, RADWIN’s General
Manager of EMEA.
