Telecom Lead Asia: In a move to expand its presence
in China, NTT Communications China, a subsidiary NTT Com is going to establish
branch offices in Shenyang, Chengdu, and Shenzhen.
The addition of three new branches expands NTT Com’s
network of subsidiaries and offices to 10 cities in
mainland China alone, and to 82 cities in 30 countries/regions
worldwide.
With these new offices, the company aims to grow their
business and increase competitiveness in mainland China.
The new branches will provide system architecture,
maintenance and management for businesses in and around these dynamic cities.
The three locations were chosen for their appeal for
domestic and international companies and their excellent growth
potential.
The company said that Shenyang and
northeast China as a whole attract many domestic and foreign BPO
service providers due to the lower cost of labor in comparison with coastal
areas and the abundance of fluent foreign language speakers.
On the other hand, Chengdu also offers lower relative
labor costs and has become a hotspot for manufacturing and distribution
companies capitalizing on the recent increase in domestic demand.
Furthermore, the special economic zone (SEZ)
of Shenzhen has been sustaining high rates of growth and currently has the
highest concentration of foreign companies in China.
