By Telecom Lead Team: Morse Communications, a provider of
IP Telephony, networking and infrastructure, has replaced the IP switching
network of North White School with the Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch 6850 10
GigE fiber concentrator and the OmniSwitch 6400 delivering 1GigE with Power
over Ethernet to the desktop.
The company helped design and deploy NWSC’s technology overhaul
with fiber optic and copper wiring cabling infrastructure, VOIP telephony
system, data network switch environment and wireless technology throughout the
school campus.
We are continuing our partnership with North White
School Corporation by supporting their K-12 Technology Initiatives and looking
to further secure the NWSC network with the Fortigate security appliance and
SafeNAC, network access control solution. Morse is looking forward to a long
partnership with the North White School Corporation,” said Bryan May, director
of sales for Morse Communications.
Morse Communications installed Alcatel-Lucent’s IP hybrid
telephone solution, the OmniPCX Enterprise putting a phone in each classroom
for safety, and setup a robust wireless LAN solution to meet the demands of
NWSC one-to-one computing” initiative.
NWSC could not have prepared to meet the future of IT
without Morse. The Alcatel-Lucent solutions are rock solid and we are able to
achieve networking speeds and response times which make students, teachers,
staff and administrators more productive,” said Steve Land, LAN administrator
and director of technology for NWSC.
The company has experience with education customers,
supporting many small and large school districts around the country and it will
continue to develop custom education solutions such as Safe Campus solutions,
parent notification solution and school lockdown solutions.
