NFC provider Proxama announces new appointments

Telecom Lead America: Proxama, a provider of near
field communications (NFC) mobile wallet and mobile marketing technology, has
appointed Ron Carter and Louise Thompson.

Carter has joined Proxama as its senior product manager
responsible for the development of its mobile wallets business. He brings with

payment security, internet payments solutions, EMV chip card and
authentication solutions sectors.

Before joining Proxama, Carter led MasterCard’s
development and deployment of Mobile MasterCard PayPass, MasterCard’s mobile
phone contactless payments solution. He was responsible for its delivery to
major global banks and mobile operators. Previous to MasterCard, Carter spent
15 years product managing the payment security solutions from nCipher, Thales
and Racal.

“Having been client-side, I was always impressed by
the expertise, knowledge and ability to deliver that Proxama demonstrated time
after time. The NFC mobile payments industry is growing fast and this role
gives me a great opportunity to play a real part in it,” Carter said.

Louise Thompson joins Proxama as its client services
manager. She is responsible for managing client relationships and delivering
NFC marketing projects.

For the last four years she was working at advertising
agency Euro RSCG Riley in London where her clients included Virgin Media,
Credit Suisse, Fidelity, HM Prison Services and Marie Curie. Thompson has an

agencies and marketing departments for over 8 years.

I believe this is a great time for me to join a growing
company that is truly operating at the cutting-edge of NFC technology. The
people at Proxama are passionate about what they do and excited about the
projects they are working on. That’s a great combination and was an obvious attraction
to joining the team,” Thompson said.
