Netgear launches 3G USB modems/dongles in India

Netgear on Thursday launched unlocked 3G USB modems/dongles in the Indian market.

The 3G USB Dongles will provide plug and play connection to access 3G in two high speed modes, 7.2Mbps and 21.6 Mbps. It will double as USB storage and supports up to 32GB MicroSD Memory card (not included).

The product comes with Netgear Aircard Mobile Broadband Genie which provides device management through a user friendly interface to connect, monitor and control the device.

Subhodeep Bhattacharya, regional director, India & SAARC, Netgear, said: “The devices are unlocked and compatible SIM will work and is a great device for students and professionals alike. It doubles as a storage device as it is capable of taking in MicroSD storage cards of up to 32GB.”

The price of AC327U USB 3G Modem 7.2Mbps is Rs 1590, while AC329U USB 3G Modem 21.6Mbps will be available for Rs 2500.
