MStar selects Tuxera file systems for set-top box chipsets



Tuxera, a provider of Windows and Mac compatible file systems for Android,
Linux and other platforms, announced that MStar Semiconductor, a provider of
Set-Top Box chipsets, has selected Tuxera’s interoperable file systems for its
System-on-a-Chip (SoC) solutions.



With Tuxera’s file system solutions integrated, consumers can attach
Windows-formatted portable hard drives and other storages into the
next-generation Set-Top Boxes for seamless high-performance recording and
playback.



“Portable high-capacity storage has become a must-have supported feature
for every connected device,” said Walker Chen, general manager of STB
Business Unit at MStar.



“We are pleased to partner with MStar to provide full support for
unlimited portable storage and the fastest possible recording speeds
available.” said Mikko Välimäki, Tuxera CEO.



“We will continue our preferred model to integrate Tuxera file systems
together with the market leading chipsets to bring more functionality and
superior user experience to consumers all over the world,” Välimäki added.
