Metaswitch opens new office in Singapore

Metaswitch Networks,
which has over 600 service
provider customers around the globe, announced the opening
of an
office in Singapore.

The new regional
headquarters will support a growing customer and employee

base while helping drive
new sales throughout the territory.

The addition of a
Singapore office complements existing operations in

Australia and Hong Kong,
along with partner activities in several
other countries in the
region.  With customers in eight countries in the

area, the new office
will also serve as a training center for partners and

customers.

“With its vibrant
business-friendly environment and central location,
Singapore was a logical
choice when deciding where to locate our Southeastern Asia
business office. An expanded presence in the region and introducing
more operators to our proven solutions for carrier-grade Voice over
IP, hosted business services and mobile applications,” said
Prem Viswanathan, regional director at Metaswitch.

Metaswitch will also be participating at
CommunicAsia2011.
 Simon Dredge, director of technical
marketing at Metaswitch, will present “A Tale of Two

Cities,” a paper
exploring options for mobile operators when competing

against over-the-top
applications.
