MATRIXX Software to expand in Asian telecom markets

Telecom Lead Asia: MATRIXX Software has hired John Kara
to lead its Asia Pacific operations.

MATRIXX Software also announced its strategic partnership
with Atos, a systems integrator.

Both the new appointment and partnership is in line with
the company’s plans to expand its operations into the Asian marketplace.

The appointment opens up new geographical territory,
particularly in Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Before joining MATRIXX Software, John Kara successfully
ran Logica’s consulting business in Japan, and then built Logica’s systems integration
business throughout the APAC region.

He then served as managing director of LHS’ business in
the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

More recently, John was Head of OSS/BSS for Ericsson in
South East Asia.

MATRIXX Software said its partnership with Atos will
expand MATRIXX Software’s reach into the Asian marketplace by utilizing Atos’
organizational coverage across Asia and its Telco centers of expertise in
Malaysia and India. Atos is also well positioned to implement and support
MATRIXX Software solutions across the APAC region.

The Asian marketplace is experiencing rapid growth of
pre-paid subscribers and data services. Our technology and vision resonate with
Communications Service Providers in the region who have lost confidence in the
ability of current commercial billing systems to keep pace with the growth,”
said Matt Taylor, VP of Global Sales.
