LG expands enterprise mobility solution offerings by strengthening partner ecosystem

LG
Electronics announced a series of partnerships forged with solution vendors in
the enterprise mobility industry.

With
an extensive portfolio of solutions compatible with LG’s Android smartphones
and tablets spanning across mobile device management (MDM), security, mobile virtualization,
unified communications (UC) and cloud computing, LG Electronics is poised to
help companies propel mobility strategies and achieve higher productivity with
its enterprise-ready mobile devices.

Solution
providers working in tandem with LG to enhance MDM and security features in its
smart devices include Authentec, McAfee, MobileIron, Mocana, 3LM and Sybase, a
SAP company.

“Organizations
are facing many different challenges involving mobile security and
manageability. We are committed to developing a strategic line-up of industry
leading partners and solutions complementary to LG’s smart devices. This allows
us to meet the mobility requirements of a diverse group of enterprise
customers,” said Ki S. Kim, corporate vice president of Global Enterprise
Solutions Business at LG Electronics.

Enterprise
users who are often on the move can also look forward to UC solutions from
Avaya and Fuzebox that will be available on LG handsets and tablets. LG’s
partnership with Box extends a free 50GB lifetime cloud storage service to
users of selected LG smart devices, enabling secure enterprise cloud file
sharing and content management to boost worker collaboration.

In
December 2010, a strategic partnership with VMware, the global leader in
virtualization and cloud infrastructure was announced. And recently, LG expanded its efforts in this
field by embracing innovative, emerging technology from Enterproid.

KIT
digital, a cloud-based software solutions and technology services provider for
multiscreen video management and delivery, recently announced its partnership
with LG Electronics to offer IP video platform technology, content and
professional services to the company’s Home Entertainment Division for its
Smart TV platform.
