Kony announces $15 million Series C round financing led by Insight Venture Partners

platform provider Kony announced Series C round of financing led by Insight
Venture Partners.


The $15 million funding will be used to fund operations
growth, sales and marketing programs and regional expansion.


Kony has completed FY2012 growing more than 200 percent
in bookings and adding more than 30 new global 2,000 customers.


FY2012 was another year of record growth for Kony. We
made major extensions to our technology platform and application portfolio and
won the business of dozens of new enterprise customers. We also made strategic
investments in operational and management infrastructure,” said Raj Koneru, CEO
of Kony.


Kony earned the business of more than 30 new customers in
the past year including Aetna, CIBC, BlueCrossBlueShield North Carolina, Hong
Leong Bank, Huntington National Bank, Independence Blue Cross, Intermountain
Healthcare, Scottrade, Scotiabank and Sun Life Financial.


Kony added comprehensive HTML5 support to its platform
and support for a host of new devices, including support for enterprise BYOD
deployments. Kony also launched a suite of off-the-shelf, vertical-specific applications
for Banking, Healthcare, Retail, Travel and other sectors. Kony plans another
major expansion of its platform and application portfolio this quarter.


The company grew its base of systems integration and
services partners with new alliances with IBM Global Services, VASCO, DonRiver
and Wipro.


The company recorded strong license growth during the
year and estimates that its platform now supports more than a billion user
sessions annually.
