Keysight prices low-cost analyzer at $5,000

Wireless testing equipment supplier Keysight Technologies has launched its current-voltage (I-V) analyzers — Precision Current-Voltage Analyzer Series — for characterizing a range of nanomaterials and electronic devices.

Accuracy and performance, analysis features, and support for latest applications are the main benefits of Precision Current-Voltage Analyzer Series, said Keysight.

Keysight Technologies is offering several variants. The low-cost analyzer, which will be available in 2016, is priced at $5,000 or one tenth the price of a typical analyzer. The advanced model supports 0.1 fA resolution and optional applications such as capacitance and fast-pulsed IV measurements or ultra-high voltage/current.

Keysight Technologies has priced the Advanced Device Analyzer at $37,800, while Precision IV Analyzer pricing starts at $20,000.

The Precision Current-Voltage Analyzer Series comprises the economic IV, precision IV and advanced device analyzers; all of which integrate multi-channel source/measurement units (SMUs).

“Our analyzer Series addresses this need by offering an expanded set of analyzer capabilities and faster measurements at a lower price. This allows more industry researchers and developers to take full advantage of our I-V analyzers’ benefits,” said Masaki Yamamoto, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s Hachioji Semiconductor Test Division.

Keysight’s analyzer Series features EasyEXPERT group+ software that’s designed to accelerate the characterization process. EasyEXPERT group+ software, the next-generation of EasyEXPERT, supports all tasks required in the characterization process — from measurement setup and execution to analysis and data management — using a GUI and mouse/keyboard operation.

Meanwhile, Keysight Technologies has extended the service period beyond the industry standard for many of its instruments that are no longer in production. The new Extended Service Period (ESP) program addresses requests from customers who need to keep test equipment operating over the life of multi-decade programs.

Keysight is now offering multi-year Warranty Assurance Plans that enable end users to lock in peak instrument performance for up to 10 years.
