Keysight grabs 28% share in RF testing market in 2017

Keysight Technologies has captured 27.8 percent revenue share in the global radio frequency (RF) test and measurement (T&M) market in 2017, according to research firm Frost & Sullivan.
Keysight 5G and IoT testingKeysight Technologies has 34.5 percent of the revenue share in traditional instrumentation segment.

Keysight Technologies also has 24.7 percent revenue share in the modular instrumentation segment.

Frost & Sullivan did not reveal the market share of the rivals of Keysight Technologies.

“Keysight is the only company in the RF T&M market that offers all form factors (traditional, modular, and portable) covering every stage of the product lifecycle, including simulation, research, development, design validation, manufacturing, and installation and maintenance,” Frost & Sullivan industry director Jessy Cavazos.

Keysight, as part of the growth strategy, has launched a software design center in Atlanta, Georgia in 2016.

The US-based company introduced PathWave, a design and test software platform that integrates the customer’s workflow, from design to manufacturing in 2018.

Even though hardware remains a critical focus in the RF T&M space, Keysight’s strategy of focusing on software is a winning move because it endows the company to align with the industry’s increasing focus on software.

Keysight opened its Automotive Solution Center in Detroit, Michigan, in November 2017, as part of the strategy to offer testing solutions to the connected car and autonomous driving concepts.
