Telecom Lead India: JT Global, a telecom provider in
the Channel Islands, has tied up with Swedish open access network management
provider Netadmin Systems, for its FTTH project.
Netadmin will work with technology partners such as
Cisco, Genexis and Dimension Data for the FTTH project.
JT Global is implementing FTTH to 42,000 premises on
Jersey within three years.
The Netadmin solution will be rolled out across the whole
project to automate the service fulfillment and assurance processes. It will
also provide a user friendly platform for JT and other service providers on and
off the island to launch their services from.
With the implementation of a full FTTH network planned,
and such an advanced network management system soon in place, Jersey is one of
the most innovative and commercially viable environments to do business in the
Western hemisphere.
JT Global Chief Operations and Technology Officer Dave
Newbold said Netadmin is recommended by some of the most experienced FTTH
network engineers and has an excellent track record in projects across the
world.
The Netadmin platform provides functional support for
automated service fulfillment including inventory and resource management as
well as ticket management, SLA statistics, and speeds up network
troubleshooting due to the complete view in one system.
As a leading financial center, Jersey needs a first rate
communications infrastructure. JT is well ahead in the planning to implement
FTTH to every single property.
Netadmin CEO Torbjorn Sandberg said the company learned
over the past decade in Sweden that it is not enough to lay fiber alone but an
environment is also required in which multiple service providers can thrive and
reach the customers simply and easily.
