JCM Global and Techfirm to demo pay-by-mobile phone technology

JCM Global and Techfirm announced that they have been
growing their strategic development project. The two firms will provide a
dynamic demonstration of the future potential of NFC (Near Field Communication)
in the casino gaming industry.

The first opportunity for JCM’s key customers to provide
valuable feedback will be at the upcoming Global Gaming Expo (G2E), which takes
place October 4-6, 2011, at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Techfirm was instrumental in launching the “mobile
wallet” technology in Japan seven years ago, and recently Techfirm and JCM
conducted preliminary research on implementing this innovative technology in
the casino gaming industry. That research will be reflected in the intriguing
project demonstration at this global trade show.

“The Techfirm development team has worked closely with
JCM to understand the required features and benefits for the gaming industry.
We are very excited to show the major gaming OEMs and casino operators how our
NFC solution can benefit their customers,” said Yuichiro Tsutsui, founder
and CMO, Techfirm.

This technology showcase will be conducted in a private
area of JCM’s booth at G2E. JCM and Techfirm expect the private demonstrations
will allow key project engineers to show the major business stakeholders the
innovative implementation of MW2 — Mobile Wager Wallet.

The expertise and IP that Techfirm has acquired is being
exploited as the company’s engineers work closely with JCM engineers and
product development teams to migrate the technology into the global casino
gaming industry.

The combination of Techfirm’s technology and JCM’s
currency validation hardware is intended to deliver world-class consumer
convenience, accountability and security.

The use of mobile e-money services is widespread
throughout Japan, with millions of smart phones being NFC-enabled. Outside of
Japan, the technology is just starting to be accepted in all aspects of
automated transactions.

In June this year, JCM Global and Techfirm have signed
a memorandum of understanding that will bring the two companies together to
develop a pay-by-mobile phone solution for bill validators.

The agreement brings together JCM Global, supplier of
innovative automated transactions solutions for the banking, gaming and retail
industries, and Techfirm, solution developer for mobile phone applications
based on contactless IC technology.
