HCL introduces 3G- Android ICS tablet at Rs 14,999

Telecom Lead India: HCL Infosystems has launched a
latest 3G enabled tablet named HCL ME Y2, featuring in-built SIM slot and Wi-Fi
connectivity.

 

Priced at Rs 14,999, the company claims that the HCL ME
Y2 is designed specially to suit the needs of the Indian consumers.

 

The tablet runs on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich OS
and powered by Cortex A9 and 1 GHz processor and a 1 GB RAM.

 

It is equipped with a 2-mega pixel rear camera and
a 0.3-mega pixel front camera which enables video chatting with HD
display.

 

The tablet features a 7-inch multi touch capacitive
screen with a 1024*600 pixel display. The HCL ME Y2 features 8 GB internal
memory, along with a memory card slot that can add another 32 GB.

 

The tablet has a mini USB, mini HDMI and a Micro SD card
slot, Bluetooth and a 4000 mAH battery.

Infosystems said the HCL ME Y2 delivers enhanced experiences to our
customers through advanced connectivity and innovative features.

 

The tablet is bundled with Hungama application with free
three months subscription to download and play unlimited music, videos and
ringtones.

 

Additionally, HCL ME Y2 customers can stream unlimited
movies for a month for just Rs. 1 from Bigflix.

 

The Y2 comes with ThinkFree Office Mobile and other
applications like LinkedIn, Twitter, 3D Digital Weather Clock, Games, Sweet’ N
-Spicy , iBrowser , ICS Browser, Bollywood Hungama and Saavn

.

Available in stores now, the HCL ME Y2 will be supported
by an integrated back up service called HCL Touch, which is a 24X7 one
touch service facility.

 

HCL launches new tablets targeting at mEducation segment

 

In April this year, HCL Infosystems launched the HCL ME
U1 and the HCL MyEdu Tab.

 

While the U1 will suit the needs of the Indian consumer,
the MyEduTab tablet is targeted at the needs of Learners across schools and
higher education institutions.
