Globecomm inks $3.7 million infrastructure deals with a foreign Govt

Telecom Lead America: Globecomm Systems, a provider of
communications solutions and services, has bagged multiple infrastructure
contracts worth $3.7 million from a foreign government.

Under the terms of these contracts, Globecomm will
deliver satellite earth station terminals, spare parts, and monitoring &
control software enabling remote monitoring and control of all subsystems from
distant operational centers and life cycle support.

 

Globecomm aims to complete these contracts in the
company’s current fiscal year 2013 second quarter ending December 31, 2012.

 

Based in Hauppauge, New York, the company claims that it
utilizes its global network to provide customers with managed access services
to the United States Internet backbone, video content, the public switched
telephone network or their corporate headquarters, or government offices.

 

The company has customers in the United States, Europe,
South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

 

Globecomm Systems also maintains offices in Maryland, New
Jersey, Virginia, the Netherlands, South Africa, Hong Kong, Germany, Singapore,
the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan.

 

Globecomm Systems signs contract with US Navy Space and Naval
Warfare Systems

 

Last month, Globecomm Systems received a contract from
the US Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, located in
Charleston, SC, for commercial-off-the-shelf satellite network and
communications equipment and other services.
