Geodesic Now Offers Anywhere Access to IPL via Mundu TV

Geodesic has announced the availability of Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket on its mobile TV service, Mundu TV.

Mundu TV is a newly released mobile TV service that looks and acts like regular television – only on-the-go. It offers a mix of prime-time television and movie content from top channels across various genres, such as business, news, sports and entertainment, as well as live coverage of events. Mundu TV’s IPL LIVE enables cricket fans to follow every aspect of the IPL 4 on their mobile or desktop device streamed commercial free.

We are thrilled to bring IPL matches and highlights to cricket fans, and to do so in a way that is intuitive, affordable, and flexible,” said Kiran Kulkarni, MD, Geodesic.

Online viewership of IPL has increased more than 80 percent this year, as fans look to sources other than a home television to watch cricket matches.  Mundu TV provides the flexibility viewers are looking for by streaming content to all of the major mobile and desktop platforms for one price.

Our partnership with Geodesic will help Indiatimes in adding supplementary distribution channels for our IPL digital content,” said Rishi Khiani, CEO, India Times.

Mundu TV is available as a downloadable app or as a white-labeled solution for broadcast network operators and mobile carriers. The app supports all of the major mobile and desktop platforms, including iPhone/iPad, Android, Nokia, Windows Mobile and Blackberry for mobile, as well as Windows and Apple Mac. Mundu TV’s live IPL package is currently available via mobile phones and desktops in the U.S., U.K., Australia, the Middle East and Malaysia. The package is available via desktop only in India.
