Telecom major Etisalat announced the launch of its ‘Mobile Work Force Management Solution’ in collaboration with Syclo, a provider
in enterprise mobility for businesses and consumers.
The Mobile Workforce Management Solution will enable
businesses to improve field worker efficiency and communication while
leveraging the ubiquity of mobile devices to streamline work management
predominantly in the areas business operations such as Field Force Management,
Inventory Management, workflow approvals, IT Asset management, fleet management
and facilities management.

Syclo’s strategic global ecosystem and the scalability of our business model.
Given the strong growth in demand for our proven mobility applications in the
Middle East and Africa, we can jointly deploy and support a wide variety of
mobility solutions in 2011 and beyond,” said Marc Chesover, managing director

The Mobile Work Force Management Solution will be
integrated with multiple backend systems such as SAP, Maximo, Oracle, Esri and
many more.
The solution also has capabilities to run on multiple
devices with true cross-platform support that, unlike other solutions, doesn’t
require generating and maintaining separate code for each device platform.
Moreover, it can be integrated with peripherals such as GIS, GPS, Barcode
scanning, RFID and Bluetooth.
The launch of Mobile Workforce Management solution in partnership
with Syclo is yet another validation of our vision to offer efficient and
comprehensive mobility solutions that will increase productivity for
businesses. This solution will in essence, provide enterprise data into the
hands of field service personnel, offering an unprecedented capability to fully

Recently, Etisalat has signed an agreement
with HCL Technologies, to bilaterally cooperate and explore collaborative
opportunities for offering innovative ICT services to customers. The
partnership agreement was signed by Abdulla Hashim, SVP, Business Solutions,
Etisalat and Virender Aggarwal, president, APAC & MEA, HCL Technologies.
