Encore Networks and DH Solutions partner to tap machine to machine market

Encore Networks, a provider of secure, IP+Legacy Virtual
Private Network (VPN) routers for converged and broadband solutions announced
that it has formed a strategic partnership with Machine-to-Machine (M2M)
integrator and distributor, Digital Highway Wireless Solutions.

DH Solutions will sell, engineer and service Encore’s
entire BANDIT line of rugged routers with emphasis on the C2C, Encore’s low
cost, cellular replacement of Plain Old Telephone Services (POTS) copper line
based M2M applications.

By adding Encore products, and the C2C in particular, to
our M2M solutions, we can offer customers a way to preserve their existing CPE
and eliminate their dependence on high cost analog copper lines, all while
moving to a lower cost, all IP wireless cellular infrastructure,” said Brian
Rosema, VP Sales and Marketing of DH Solutions.

This relationship allows us to expand our customer base
by quickly addressing and upgrading legacy M2M applications for all the markets
we serve. This will certainly be a solid fit for our existing ATM and
manufacturing verticals,” Rosema added.

Available in both commercial and ruggedized, industrial
versions, the C2C router provides IP interworking capabilities to an analog
modem interface in a single box solution. The C2C simply connects a users
existing analog modem to 2G, 3G or 4G cellular networks.

The remote equipment continues to function with no
changes to Operations Administration and Maintenance (OA&M) with the added
benefits of the cellular network’s increased data throughput, reliability, data
security utilizing IPsec (AES256, 3DES), and other IP-based services and
applications.

By understanding technology needs, DH Solutions
enables customers in Electric Utilities, Water Monitoring and Wastewater
Treatment, Oil and Gas, Automated Teller Machines, Point-of-Sale and Kiosks to
choose the most secure, flexible and cost-efficient wireless network solutions.

DH Solutions has built a solid reputation as a company
that offers a complete turn-key solution, with leading technology expertise in
the M2M marketplace,” said Scott Burk, sales director, Encore Networks.

Encore Networks recently announced that USAT Corp. has
selected
Encore’s IP+LegacyBANDIT line of environmentally hardened VPN routers for
broadband network solutions aimed at the public utilities market.

USAT selected
the BANDIT to provide the seamless migration of serial SCADA functions over
legacy networks to secure, encrypted, wireless IP networks.
