Telecom Lead America: EB, Elektrobit Corporation, a
developer of embedded technology solutions for automotive and wireless
industries, has updated its EB Tough VoIP product portfolio with the launch of
next generation of EB Tough VoIP Field Phone and EB Tough VoIP Desktop Phone.
These rugged products enable militaries to bring
broadband voice and data connectivity to the field, vehicles and command posts.

The EB Tough VoIP Field Phone and Desktop Phone can be
seamlessly integrated to customers’ existing communications infrastructure.
The rugged design of these products enhances their
ability to provide reliable VoIP services when faced with demanding conditions,
enabling militaries to gain new and improved operational capabilities.
These devices come equipped with the flexibility required
to meet military-customer-specific requirements.
EB Tough VoIP Field Phone and EB Tough VoIP Desktop Phone
are both equipped with an integrated speaker and Ethernet connectivity.
EB Tough VoIP Field Phone is also equipped with SHDSL
connectivity. The units can be configured to have e.g. optical Ethernet
connectivity.
Recently, EB, Elektrobit Corporation announced that it will license Renesas Mobile’s
SP2531 multi-band chipset reference platform to provide its EB Specialized
Device Platform with LTE capabilities.
