Dell opens solution center in Americas

Dell announced the opening of its first Solution Center
in North and South America based in Round Rock to help customers test and
validate their IT solutions while also helping lower IT investment risks.

Dell Solution Centers
will provide integrated design, test and validation of total industry solutions
to help customers invest more in technology innovation to drive business value.

The Round Rock Solution Center is part of a global
network of 22 planned Solution Centers providing extensive customer engagement
capabilities and access to Dell technology and solutions experts.

At these facilities, Dell experts will
work with customers to help them make better use of their technology budgets so
they can invest less on managing their infrastructure and more on technology
innovation to grow their business.

Through proof of concept testing in a controlled
environment to ensure the solution will work in the customers’ environment and
architectural design workshops based on the customers’ business needs, the Dell
Solution Center provides customers and partners another resource to help solve
technology challenges.

Dell employees at the Solution Center are focused on
helping our customers apply Dell’s solutions against their specific industry
and functional use-cases and requirements. The Solution Center will
support IP development, IT architecture and engineering to support solution
development and customer proof-of-concepts.

In addition, the new Solution Center will play a leading
role in data management, identifying solutions to meet the challenges caused by
the explosive growth of data online.

The opening of the Round Rock Solution Center
emphasizes Dell’s evolution to a services and solutions company, providing our
customers with broad-based capabilities and expertise that will help them
succeed. By working with customers directly at these next generation technology
facilities, we are able to help them select, validate and expedite innovative
solutions and systems that will help them meet their specific needs,” said
Steve Schuckenbrock, president, Dell Services.

At our Round Rock Solution Center we will work with
customers to help them make the most of Dell’s industry-focused solutions and
domain knowledge with the benefit of reducing risk around solution deployment
in their organization. This will enable our customers to better leverage their
technology investments and focus more on driving business value,” said Jan
Uhrich, vice president, Services and Solutions Group, Dell Services.
