D-Link appoints Vikas Pinjarkar as VP for structured cabling


D-Link, the
end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumers and businesses,
announced the appointment of Vikas Pinjarkar as vice president – Structured
Cabling Business in India.

very crucial period here at D-Link, as a lot of challenges and exciting time
awaits us. Therefore we wish to create a strong and dedicated team that will
add to the overall growth of the company. With Vikas leading the structured
cabling business, I am sure it will boost D-Link’s brand value & also
strengthen our presence in cabling arena,” said Tushar Sighat, CEO-D-Link
(India).

 

Vikas is a
dynamic professional who brings with him vast experience spanning over 17 years
in IT Industry. Vikas is a founding member of BICSI chapter in India. He has
functioned as the official country representative for the first year at BICSI
and subsequently as a chairman for the consecutive 4 years.

 

He is
currently a part of the 10 member Executive Steering Committee of BICSI India.
He has also had a successful stint with organizations like Zicom, Advantek
Networks & Microsemi Corporations. 

 

Vikas was
also part of team D-Link during 1998-2005 and was one of the key individual who
was instrumental in the successful launch of D-Link cabling solution in India.

 

Moving
ahead, we are going to be extremely focused on D-Link’s cabling business, as we
are determined to witness significant growth in the current year. This would
involve close & one-to-one association with our channel partners/ re-seller
present throughout the country. We will be rolling out a lot of channel centric
activities like training, certification program etc. Further we are also
looking at project based businesses in a big way, and as a part of the strategy
we will soon be lining up with some National System Integrators,” said Vikas
Pinjarkar said.

 

D-Link’s
current cabling portfolio consists of a complete range of end-to-end copper
& fiber cabling solution which includes Cat 5e & Cat 6 range of LAN
Cables, Patch Panels, Keystone Jacks, Patch Cords, Face Plates, Keystone Box,
Modular Insert, Back Box and Modular Plugs. All these products are currently
available all across India through D-Link national distributors Ingram Micro
& Redington, and also through its wide network of Regional Distributors/
Business Distributors spread throughout the country.
