CSC appoints Narendra Nayak as head of new business unit


CSC announced that Narendra Nayak, has been appointed to
lead the company’s newly-formed sales efforts focused on the Indian domestic
market. Reporting to Brian Manning, president and managing director of CSC in
India, Nayak will be charged with introducing the CSC portfolio of technology
services from around the world to Indian companies in the banking, insurance,
manufacturing, healthcare and government sectors, equipping them with
technology capabilities to help compete in the global marketplace.

are confident of Narendra’s capability to lead this important initiative,”

CSC offers IT services that span from cloud computing,

According to NASSCOM’s Strategic Review 2011,
market trends indicate that the Indian IT services market is showing a
significant upswing with domestic IT services pegged at about $9 billion in
2010 and slated to grow by 22 percent percent in 2011. From internal estimates,
CSC expects this market to see a CAGR of 16 per cent by 2014.
