CGI bags IT outsourcing contract from TalkTalk

CGI has bagged a 5-year IT outsourcing contract from UK telecom operator TalkTalk to CGI strengthen and transform operational services.

TalkTalk’s IT operations contract forms part of a transformation program for better customer experience and operational excellence. TalkTalk aims to improve operational efficiency and drive growth by consolidating its IT systems and processes.

CGI will modernise the operation of TalkTalk’s IT estate with a suite of monitoring and CGI’s automation tools to drive efficiency and reliability, generating a stable platform for future operations. CGI will manage the migration of TalkTalk’s apps into the private cloud, providing stability, capacity and capabilities for validating future releases.

Gary Steen, CTO of TalkTalk, said: “CGI demonstrated strong leadership and a clear ability to impart change and maturity into TalkTalk, both in terms of evolving the IT estate but also our working practices and behaviours.”
