CES 2012: ESCORT and Verizon in pact for public safety

announced a technology collaboration using Verizon’s 4G LTE network and the
ESCORT SmartOffice Mobile Rugged PC.


The ESCORT SmartOffice Mobile Rugged PC will interface
with public safety and emergency response command centers, assisting public
safety first responders in monitoring, managing and answering emergency
calls. 


ESCORT SmartOffice Mobile Rugged PC is an integrated,
in-vehicle, solution. This product improves safety and productivity, while
significantly reducing operating costs for public safety, consumers and
fleets. ESCORT SmartOffice provides full PC functionality with Verizon 4G
LTE internet connectivity, navigation, Bluetooth and also includes a reverse
camera. 


ESCORT SmartOffice also offers mobile credit card
processing, barcode reader, RFID reader and digital TV
capabilities. Mobile Rugged PC is a complete, portable, office solution
that can be used for private, commercial and industrial applications.


This demonstration features TechRadium’s Command Core
software and the Sierra Wireless AirPrime MC7750 embedded wireless
module. The Command Core software and the AirPrime module are integrated
into the ESCORT SmartOffice.
