Blue Coat to showcase virtualized WAN optimization solutions at VMworld 2011

 

Blue Coat Systems, a provider of Web security and WAN
optimization solutions, announced its participation at VMworld 2011 conference
in Las Vegas, Nevada.

 

Blue Coat is demonstrating and discussing its solutions
at the annual conference held at the Venetian conference center from August 29
– September 1, 2011.

 

During the show, Blue Coat is demonstrating its VMware
Ready Certified MACH5 WAN Optimization Virtual Appliances for accelerating and
optimizing email, file access, enterprise applications, video, Web, cloud-based
applications and data replication in branch offices and data centers or data
cloud centers.

 

It will demonstrate optimized performance controls for
VMware View Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) network flows using a Blue
Coat PacketShaper appliance to protect the quality of the real-time traffic.

a more expansive view of the challenges facing traditional data centers,
cloud-based data centers and branch offices,” said Steve Daheb, chief
marketing officer and senior vice president, Blue Coat Systems.
“VMworld provides a great showcase for us to demonstrate our
appliances and virtual appliances that accelerate and optimize email, file
access, enterprise applications, video, Web, cloud-based applications and data
replication.”

 

Blue Coat Systems recently announced that Gregory S.
Clark has been named
president and chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors.
Clark will succeed Michael J. Borman, who has departed as president and CEO and
as a director.
