Bitzer Mobile, a software technology
solution provider that simplifies enterprise application access on mobile
devices, announced it has secured $4.75 million in its first institutional
round of financing led by Acero Capital with participation from Chevron
Technology Ventures (CTV).
“Bitzer’s comprehensive solution is
uniquely positioned to meet the security and authentication needs of
enterprises. This round of financing will help us expand our customer support
and product development teams and broaden the company’s direct and channel
sales team,” said Naeem Zafar, president and CEO of Bitzer Mobile.
“Employees want to have the choice of
running apps as HTML5 or native on any device. We fulfill our vision to enable
mobile employees’ productivity with secure access on the device of their
choice,” Zafar added.
Bitzer’s solution enables enterprise
employees with access to corporate content and applications from within a
secure container. The Bitzer secure container is installed on employees’ mobile
phone or tablet of choice such as iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and Windows
Phone 7 devices. Bitzer’s solution is being used by enterprises and SMBs in the
healthcare, energy, construction and technology markets.
According to a recent study from ABI
Research, 35percent of employees currently use personal devices at work which
will increase the number of enterprise mobility app users to 830 million by
2016. CIOs are looking for enterprise mobility solutions that are easy to
deploy, and create isolation between personal and corporate information.
Bitzer offers
a secure container that provides complete isolation of enterprise and personal
information and enables a simple remote mobile container management solution
through its Bitzer Enterprise Application Mobilization (BEAM) platform.
“Increased employee productivity and
satisfaction is driving adoption of personal mobile platforms in the
enterprise. We’ve taken an exhaustive look at the enterprise mobility market,
and found Bitzer’s platform to be the most comprehensive solution for
enterprise mobility needs,” said Rami Elkhatib, general partner at Acero
Capital.
“End users expect two major features when
they use their personal mobile device for enterprise access. The first
expectation is that of simplicity as experienced in native app usability, and
the second expectation is that of zero intrusion on personal data such as
pictures, mail, and apps on their device. Bitzer uniquely meets these two hard
requirements,” Elkhatib added.
