Bezeq selects BroadSoft to offer hosted unified communications solution to Israeli enterprise market

By Telecom Lead Team: Bezeq, Israel’s largest
telecommunications group, has launched a hosted Unified Communications (UC)
service, which is powered by BroadSoft’s BroadWorks voice application
platform.

Bezeq has been working with BroadWorks for a hosted PBX
service that has grown to support thousands of enterprises.

BroadWorks will deliver an enterprise offering to Bezeq
that extends beyond standard PBX capabilities to include a range of hosted
communications services such as unified messaging, enhanced voicemail,
voicemail to email and meet-me conferencing.

“The ability of the BroadWorks platform to provide a
full range of hosted services enables Bezeq to cultivate the subscriber
relationship by offering a new suite of innovative services that improves our
value proposition and helps us to differentiate our offerings from
competitors,” said Yuval Keinan, chief technology officer, Bezeq.

Bezeq serves four distinct business segments ranging from
Small Office Home Office (SOHO) environments with just a handful of users to
large, multi-location organizations supporting hundreds of employees. Bezeq
required a single platform from which it could provide each business segment
with a customized offering that includes hosted communications services most
applicable to their specific needs.

“We’ve enjoyed a tremendous working relationship
with Bezeq. The fact it was one of the first service providers to leverage
BroadWorks is a testament to its long-term commitment to innovation in meeting
the communications needs of its customers,” said Leslie Ferry, vice
president marketing, BroadSoft.

The company claims that BroadWorks is fully scalable as a
software-based solution and delivers 99.999 percent uptime, and provides voice
and data connectivity in the event of planned or unplanned disruptions.

The Software as a Service (SaaS) model of BroadWorks
lowers the solution cost so that Bezeq’s customers will be able to experience a
rich set of enhanced capabilities for hosted voice and UC without the
operational and maintenance expenses associated with on-premises PBX equipment.

Recently, BroadSoft announced that LG U+, a South Korea’s service provider of mobile,
fixed-line and broadband communications services, will leverage the BroadWorks
voice application platform to launch a new hosted Unified Communications
offering for enterprises in South Korea.
